Arlington Skatepark, Washington

The Grand opening for the Arlington Skate was a huge success despite the rain! Probably 200 people, and their kids played in the park. (2/12/05)

Article about the grand opening in the Everett Herald 2/11/05.

Parks and Recreation Commission member Chris Raezer and Councilwoman Marilyn Oertle, both of whom were instrumental in getting this park here, cutting the ribbon.

The main feature of this park is this caped fullpipe (Capsule), John is having some fun a day before the official opening day. (Photo by Chris Raezer 2/11/05)

The shallow bowl next to the pipe, about 8 feet deep, John skating again.(Photo by Chris Raezer 2/11/05)

The deep end, about 10 feet.

Just outside the deep end is the love seat, and we love that of course! (Photo by Chris Raezer 2/11/05)

The full pipe stays dry, even when raining, so that was used quite a bit on opening day. Jessie hadn't ever ridden a full pipe before, but seemed to adapt to it just fine!

Steve loves pipes, he'll be back to ride this one, for sure!

Yup, that's granite on that ledge!

Stairs too. I heard that these ledges will also get the granite treatment.
