Hailey Skatepark, ID (page 9)

I really didn't feel comfortable attempting a one footer 13 feet above the flat. However when Max, Jake and others changed the sign, I had to give it a go. The speeds are fast, so it was hard to hit the pipe coping precisely, which I didn't.

John and Ashley, from California, were on their way back home from a skate trip, they had to stop in Hailey, and were thoroughly impressed.

Steve is doing an impression of Spiderman, sticking to the ceiling.

The classic frontside grind by Steve.

Stockwell Jeremy is getting a grind, while Zim in the background is also getting a grind. I don't think I could have gotten this picture, even if I had planned it.

Tom is hard to please, and when he was done skating this long weekend, he said that this was the best park he's ever skated!

Rolling off the top of the pipe is like a right of passage for us skaters. Zim was brave, and on his third try he was able to roll away unscathed.

Zim hadn't ever skated a 14 foot wall before. If you could hear him, he's saying, "OH, I'm weightless!".

Jack has this park to all to himself at times. And it shows, each time I visit, he's getting better and better. Here he's at the top of the 14 footer.

For example, Jack used to really struggle with his frontside kick turns. Not anymore.
